6 days old! In-Home Newborn Session in McKinney

This sweet baby girl slept through her entire photo session. That's because she and her parents were up all night! I remember the days, of barely functioning, running on 2 hours of sleep and forgetting what day it is...in those early days of bringing home a new baby. It's an adjustment period of everyone, that's for sure. Their 9 year old German Sheppard was getting used to the new normal, but big brother was having a harder time. Why are there now 2 of us? Why do I have to share? It's the best lesson a kid could learn, right? And having siblings is the best gift your parents can give you. I'm the youngest of four, but I'm sure my older siblings would agree, lol.

For this session, I did mostly lifestyle photography, but I put this sweet sleeping baby in a couple of baskets, for some posed shots too.

Session Tip #1: Clothing

If I ask what the most stressful part of a photography session is, 9 times out of 10 people will say, picking out wardrobe. When you book your newborn session with me, I am there for you from the beginning. We will discuss clothing options to start. I have a full client closet that is complimentary to use for all my McKinney photography and surrounding area sessions. I provide all the wraps and outfits for baby as well as helping styling your family! I have a collection of children’s clothing and mens shirts as well! The studio is best complimented with warm, neutral or earthy tones. While outside sessions are the exact same but we can mix in more patterns and textures. My client closet is specially curated to fit what you see in my portfolio and social pages. The goal is for you to love your photos from the very beginning, even before your session! I put together a styling board for your whole family, everyone being photographed, to get ideas of what you want your session to look like. We start with a color palate and go from there. It really is the most stress free way of planning your photo session.
